The California native gave Celebuzz a behind-the-scenes look at his new video for “Hey L.A.” from his EP, Because of You . What are the perks of his newfound fame? Getting to “drive” around Hollywood, of course. “The magic of Hollywood is letting someone drive before they have a license,” his director says, pointing to the set’s large green screen on set. Beatty even gets to stay out past his curfew for the shoot. “It’s midnight in L.A. on Hollywood Boulevard so it’s getting kind of freaky now,” the young crooner says. celebs at the young hollywood awards 2012 12?Photos?? Beatty — who co-wrote songs on his EP with John Fields and Shelly Peiken (Grammy nominee for her collaborations with Voice judge Christina Aguilera ) makes work look like fun as he shows us the private side of his music making. “Hey L.A.” hits close to his heart – telling the story of his journey to Los Angeles, from his first time exploring the city to how he broke into the music industry. And the song is produced by John Fields who has worked with major celebs such as the Jonas Brothers , Demi Lovato , Selena Gomez , Miley Cyrus , Pink and Backstreet Boys .
